Founded by Cheryl Salvati in April 2015. Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization specializing in rescuing moms-to-be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms, seniors, and other Death Row Dogs. We are located in Western Washington State. Rompin Paws Rescue is on a mission to save dogs from abuse, starvation, and euthanization.
We are rescue partners with many States and Mexico. Our goal is to keep small breeds and some larger dogs and seniors from being euthanized in overcrowded shelters, backcountry shelters that receive no visitors, street rescues at risk of death from cars, wildlife, starvation, and disease, as well as some owner-relinquished dogs.
However, rescuing a dog is just the first step. We believe that it's not enough to save a dog's life; we must also ensure they have access to high-quality, human-grade, species-specific food that meets their nutritional and biological needs. This food helps dogs heal physically, detox, and feel better overall. With the proper nutrition, dogs can relax, detox, and be free from parasites, leading to happier, healthier, and more relaxed dogs open to adoption and continuing with their lives.
- Our approach is holistic -
Meaning that we provide potential adopters with the tools and education they need to keep their rescue dogs healthy for life. We want to ensure that the dogs we rescue never again suffer from poor nutrition, abuse, or neglect. To this end, we take due diligence and fairness seriously in finding the right adopters for our dogs. We believe that adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment, and we work hard to match our dogs with adopters who will provide them with the care and attention they need.
If you're interested in learning more about healthier feeding for your canine companions, we recommend following Dr. Karen Shaw Becker's new website. Watch her videos on YouTube and definitely purchase her co-written book - "The Forever Dog"

In addition, allow me to also introduce you to Linda Micheals and her Do No Harm Training Manual.
Fear-free training is a must, not only for scared, traumatized rescue dogs but all of our canine companions.
Please note that many of our dogs are not on-site, and if you're interested in adopting or fostering, please fill out an application. If you know someone who needs to rehome a pet or have a pet needing a new home, please use these links to post your dog for adoption.
